About Heidi

    On December 7th 2010, my husband (Alex) and I decided to adopt a puppy.  We went to the local animal shelter and fell in love with a little girl named "Jill."  A couple days later "Jill" got a new home and a new name.  We named her Heidi.  Heidi is much more than just a dog to us.  She is a member of our family and our baby.  Knowing that may help some of you readers to understand why we made the decisions we did when we were told Heidi had torn her cranial cruciate ligament. I hope this documentation of our experience may help others who find themselves in the same situation.   So this is Heidi's story.
